In a defensive struggle this weekend, the Broncos managed to secure a 13-11 victory over the winless New York Jets. Signal-caller Bo Nix threw an early scoring strike and kicker Wil Lutz provided the game-winning decisive three-pointer to secure the hard-fought win.

Defensive Display Seals Game

Despite recording nine sacks against Jets QB Justin Fields, the Broncos were behind 11-10 after conceding a safety in the third quarter. Interestingly, the Jets managed just 82 total net yards throughout the contest.

The Denver quarterback, who completed 19 of 30 passes for 174 yards, engineered a decisive 12-play, 65-yard drive that culminated in Lutz's 27-yard kick with approximately five minutes remaining.

Record Difficulties for Jets Offense

In spite of their dismal offensive display, the Jets maintained the ball with a chance to score a potential victory. However Fields was sacked on fourth down from the Denver 44 when head coach Aaron Glenn chose to go for it rather than sending out kicker Nick Folk for a difficult field-goal attempt.

The Jets quarterback had difficulties throughout, completing just 9 of 17 passes for 45 yards. New York ended up with negative ten net yards passing, the lowest in any game since 1998.
